Pre-K
Geneva has multiple free, publicly funded preschool programs for 3 & 4 year olds. All free options run through the UPK (Universal Pre-Kindergarten) program or a Head Start program. UPK is free and open to all children who live in the Geneva City School District, while Head Start eligibility is free, but based on income. The Geneva City School District oversees the UPK placement process, as well as one of Geneva's two Head Start programs.
Click on the link below to register for a UPK program. Applications for the 2024-2025 school year are due April 26, 2024. The location your child will attend is decided based on a lottery system (You select 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices on the application).
While applications will continue to be accepted after the due date, choice in location becomes limited.

UPK 3 Year Old Programs
UPK3 programs are free and open to all families who live in the Geneva City School District. Children must be 3 years old or turning 3 by December 1st of the year they are enrolled. All UPK3 programs are 1/2 days and run 5 days per week. Some locations offer wrap around child care for a fee. Transportation is not provided for UPK3 programs.
